Choose your projector

We recommend that you only buy Benq projectors for a pub and club environment as they are the only ones to consistently offer a smoke warranty. We have a few offerings and much will depend on your budget. However if you go for a screen 3.0m or larger then we recommend that you go for over 2,500 lumens. If you have a lot of daylight in the room and have the budget then of course go for the brighter projectors with the smaller screens as it will improve the image

Choose your Connecting Cables and Accessories

For many pub and clubs the connection will be simply a Scart out from the Sky box or the Freeview receiver. This is then taken by quality Coaxial cable with a phono on each end. You will need the Scart out adapter and the 10M lead for most situations.

If you need a sound system please see our offering below

Many pub and Clubs have their own sound system in place and will use this with the projector. If so then the source is taken or already going to the system and the only leads you need for the new projector are the vision leads that are included in an option above.

The projector has sound built in but unlike the CRT projectors of old this will not suit a public area as the loudest is only 3W. However if you want a sound system that is easy to use and will work for up to 150 people we have a package ready made for you below.

Big screens pull in customers, survey shows

A survey in May, 2006 just before the World Cup found football fans will be attracted to pubs with large screens. Although the Worl Cup has passed the same dynamics hold good for the future sporting events. The size of a venue’s TV screen will be the deciding factor when customer’s choose where to watch the World Cup, a survey has found.

But the good news for pubs is that 80 per cent of 20-34 year olds are planning to watch Beckham and the boys in their local.

More than three quarters (76 per cent) asked said their choice of venue would depend on whether there was a large screen to watch the games.

Other factors were an accessible bar (12 per cent), comfortable surroundings (eight per cent) or friendly service (four per cent).

Of those questioned, almost two-thirds (62 per cent) said the size of screen was of vital importance, and an overwhelming majority (86 per cent) said they would be put off going to a pub which only showed matches on small TV screens. Details taken from the Publican.com
