World Cup footy fans will be attracted to pubs with large screens, a survey has found
The size of a venue’s TV screen will be the deciding factor when customer’s choose where to watch the World Cup, a survey has found.
But the good news for pubs is that 80 per cent of 20-34 year olds are planning to watch Beckham and the boys in their local.
More than three quarters (76 per cent) asked said their choice of venue would depend on whether there was a large screen to watch the games.
Other factors were an accessible bar (12 per cent), comfortable surroundings (eight per cent) or friendly service (four per cent).
Of those questioned, almost two-thirds (62 per cent) said the size of screen was of vital importance, and an overwhelming majority (86 per cent) said they would be put off going to a pub which only showed matches on small TV screens. Details taken from the Publican.com
